Booking Through Thursday - A Second First Time?

What book would you love to be able to read again for the first time?

(Interestingly, I thought that I had thought this one up myself, but when I started scrolling through the Suggestions, found that Rebecca had suggested almost exactly this question a couple months ago. So, we both get credit!)

Well I can't just list just one.. I have so many favorite books that I wish I just discovered and would love to read them for the very first time!!

If only one could erase a certain part of reading memory to erase what I know of these books and read them and be amazed and surprised again and again :) That would be perfect!!

They are in no particular order.. So I will have to say..

1. Harry Potter series by JK Rowling

2. Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer

3. Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris

4. The Demonica series by Larissa Ione

5. No Evil series by Allison Brennan

6. The Dark Ones series by Katie Macalister

7. The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks

8. P.S I Love You by Cecilia Ahern

9. Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson

10. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

OK these are the ones I could remember right now.. could be more though :)

Oh, there are SO many books I would like to read for the first time.
On the other hand my memory is so hopeless that after a year or two I can re-read several crime novels without even remembering who the protagonist is :D

gautami, yeah I guess you are right but only if I forget the basic plot would be great :) I wowed the first time I read them..

Blodeuedd, I haven't seen the movie yet but the book was great :)

Dorte, wow lucky you :) you better have a list of your favorites and then a couple of years after you read them reread them again!!

You have a lot of series on your list. I definitely agree with you on P.S. I Love You, I think it was a fantastic novel, I just didn't like the movie at all.
I don't have as many read-again novels but I definitely would put Les Miserables and The Count of Monte Cristo on the list.

Wonderful piece of advise! I´ll try to remember doing that :O

Seriously, I own 5-600 crime novels, and I reread a lot.

What a great list, I haven't read all of them but some. I have the Sookie Stackhouse series lying here waiting for me to start reading.

You came up with a much better list than I did! I could only think of Outlander, so I skipped the Q this week.

I have not read any of the books you listed :) But I have seen the movie 'The Notebook", and thought it was alright. In my opinion, the books are usually much better than the movie!

Harry Potter was my pick too! Sookie Stackhouse is another good choice. I'm reading the third book in Demonica series right now. Going to finish tonight!

I tried commenting on your blog yesterday but couldn't. Anyway, I love your list. I loved the premise of P.S. I love you, but didn't like the writing so much.

Oh yes, to reread Harry Potter for the first time. I remember wondering what the heck was the big deal with those books. I think the third book had just come out when I read the first one. I was hooked!

I'd love to read Harry Potter for the first time again. There's a certain comfort in rereading them, which I have done, but it just doesn't match that first consuming rush.

Lilly, I wasn't so crazy about the movie either, the story was so different in my mind that the movie seems like Sci-Fi compared to it :)

Dorte, I'm glad you liked it :)

Beth, thanks :)

Ladybug, thanks.. Oh you should start Sookie, I'm sure you will enjoy it!! I'm reading book 8 now :)
