I got this book for free for my Kindle from Amazon on January 29, 2012.

Sometimes when a book is free I'm kind of skeptical to read it.. I used to read a lot of free books, but lately I've become a bit picky in what I read.
So, I was a bit hesitant to start this book.
The blurb was interesting and I thought I would give it a try.. AND..
I wish I read it sooner!! It's amazing!!
It's my first time by this author and I'm glad I did it! I'll be looking for other books by him.

Here is my review..
Patrick is a reporter whose abusive mother just passed away. He came to the funeral and met his Uncle Warren who has been a better part time parent for him that his mother.
Before leaving to go back home he passed by his mom's house to say goodbye one last time for good! While looking around the house he found a box with some of his old books so he took it with him, while leaving the house he had some heated words with his uncle and they parted in a not so great way.
While back home he checked the contents of the box and found some interesting items.. a note and a gold necklace/pendant.. what was interesting was who wrote the note and to whom it was addressed.
That got him curious and he started digging.

Nathan was a three year old boy living with his parents. One afternoon while his mother stepped out to get the mail he was abducted from his own room, never to be seen again. A local sex offender was convicted and tried for the crime. Open and shut case! But was he really the perpetrator?

When Patrick starts investigating, he gets some serious threats, but from who? Who wants this case not to be opened again and what are they hiding?

This was a roller coaster thriller that I had trouble putting down. So, if you are into great thrillers that will keep you at the edge of your seat check this out. The twists just keep on coming!!
