Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

Year Published: 2009

My Rating: 5 stars

391 pages

This is the 1st book in the Hush, Hush series.

I read this book for a challenge, I was supposed to read three books but time was not on my side, since I started it quite late I only got to finish this one.
I was supposed to hate it, the problem is I LOVED it!! It was amazing! It was so hard for me to put the book down to take a break and do some work :)

Nora Grey can't seem to get attracted to any of the guys at school, until Coach pairs her with Patch. Patch seems to know a whole lot of things about her, things she didn't think anyone knew about. He is dark, dangerous, gorgeous, confident and hot, not to forget persistant and seems to be everywhere Nora is.
Is he stalking her? Is he more that what he seems?
Weird things start to happen since she met him, is he responsible?
Is he only getting close to her to kill her?? Or is he in love *grin*?
Then Elliot, a student transfer gets in the picture as potential boyfriend with his friend Julian, so Nora is between Elliot and Patch :) while her BFF Vee gets Julian .

It kept me wondering till the end who the bad guy is, I kept shifting between the characters :)

This book was so much fun, sexy and breathtaking. And the fallen angel thing is so cute :)

Can't wait for the second book in the series to come out.. I'll have to get it!!

Quotes I enjoyed from the book:
"Since the dawn of time, women have been attracted to mates with strong survival skills - like intelligence and physical prowess - becasue men with these qualities are more likely to bring home dinner at the end of the day." He stuck his thumbs in the air and grinned. :Dinner equals survival, team."
No one laughed.
"Likewise,: he continued, "men are attracted to beauty because it indicates health and youth - no point mating with a sickly woman who won't be around to raise the children."

"Does she turn her body toward mine? Does she hold my eyes, then look away? does she bite her lip and play with her hair, the way Nora is doing right now?"

"If you keep running from me, you'r never going to figure out what's really going on."

"My past might frighten you"
Too late, I thought.
