Vampire Viggo can have any woman or man he wants, since they are available all around him in his so called harem, because he is their ruler.
Now he is bored, he has been looking for centuries for his eternal soul mate and can't find her.
So when he sees Dayna, Earth daughter of Danu he knows she is the one.

As for Dayna, she is cornered and feels she will die, the only regret she has is dying a virgin.
Then she wakes up to some gorgeous guy doing some things that are totally new to her, waking a new sensation within her.

Now the beast within Viggo is threatening to overcome her, so could she tame the beast!

The best thing about this book was the cover, well and the teaser sample!

I don't remember a book I rated this badly, I feel so guilty for doing it but I have to give my honest opinion or I will lose my self respect!

The beginning was really good which was the teaser that made me buy the book, then I was shocked! since I downloaded the sampler from Amazon then bought the book!

I felt I was cheated of a good book, it just spiraled downward. I know it was supposed to be erotica, but to me it was just porn, nothing erotic about it and the beast thing was just plain annoying. She was a virgin and miraculasly she knew exactly what to do to control the beast, yeah I kinda spoiled the ending, but I think you knew it was coming :)
Plus the use of some vulgar words for my taste, for example the use of the word tw*t, which I truly dispise. And her sticking a strawberry up his ***, I can't really write the passage here but it's very disturbing. I won't be able to look at strawberries the same way again.. Traumatized for life :(

I truly apologize to the author for being this blunt, I'm sure there are some people out there who will appreaciate her work, I'm just not one of them!

Quotes I enjoyed from the book:
In the face of the most handsome male she'd ever encountered, unblinking eyes the color of purest turquoise stared down at her. Dayna's heart skipped a beat and the man's pupils dilated. Those eyes, she had seen those same eyes in her dream the night before.

Quotes I disliked from the book:
Attuned to her wakeful state he glanced up. Blood smeared around his mouth like a fruit juice stain. "Your blood is sweeter than nectar. I believe I shall enjoy yout monthly bleeding." *YUCK!!! I know he is a vampire but come on!*

"Viggo, you can't expect me to.. you have to give me time to adjust especially after ripping into me like a chimp on a coconut." She pouted, "You're not exactly tiny you know. Besides, you about flooded the bed with your... stuff."

This was a free book from Smashwords !

After much pushing and encouraging from her two best friends who she nicknames the "smutty twins", she goes to a gathering and meets a guy and hit it of.
He then texts her and calls, they go out on a date and the fun starts.
But they have agreed to have fun with no strings attached, once the night is over, she has second thoughts about the no strings theory..
Will he have the same feelings or was it a one night stand for him?

Although I have never read a book by this author before, when I found it free in Smashwords I thought I could give it a try and since I seem to be into short stories these days I felt like reading it.
I was not disappointed. It was really good. True it was short but the story was nicely done and I enjoyed the writing and the characters.
I will be looking for other books by this author.

Be warned, this is an erotica book :)

Quotes I enjoyed from the book:
We fit like the primary colors, when blended made the perfect shade.

"Tell me you want me," he demanded, yet it sounded like a subtle plea.
I expelled a deep breath. "And what if I want you. What if-" i turned my head away and he ran a knuckle across my cheek.

"What are you so afraid of? Who hurt you so much that you can't see the truth from the lies?" he asked softly.

That is the ways of the Fae so as not to harm the humans :) go figure!!

A short but nice story that I enjoyed.

Another free short story from Smashwords.

Kathy Robert's is the owner of a barber shop called Great Headz, when her air conditioner breaks down on the hottest day imaginable, the temperature is actually 101 degrees.
So she props the shop door to get some sir flow, luckily she is down to her last customer but although the weather is so bad he is persistent on getting his haircut.
They make some small talk, she asking about his profession and he asking about the reason behind the store name *grin*
While she is reaching over him he makes a tiny move, she then asks him to leave but he is insistant in making her day hotter than it already is.

I enjoyed the book and the development of the story, although it was really short, it was really fun to read.
I will definetly look for other titles by this author.

Note: It has some erotic scenes, so readers beware *evil grin*

I also got this short story ebook from Smashwords for free.

Cathy is obsessed with phone books, you know those huge big telephone guides? She has boxes and boxes of them.
She sits down and chooses a  book to start calling people randomly, then listening and never talking just to hear their reactions!
Well, that went on for a while till she accidentaly calls Seth. After that everything changed. He intrigues her to change her methods :)

Unique story that I really enjoyed, I wish it was longer to see what heppens next!

It had a few erotic scenes, but not too much! :P

Short and Interesting!!

Conrad's First Girl by Varian Krylov

Conrad's First Girl by Varian Krylov

Year Published: 2008

My Rating: 3 stars

48 pages

This is a prequel to Varian Krylov's bestselling "Abduction." When I read it I didn't even know this information!
It was a book I found for free on Smashwords.

Conrad's woos a virgin and seduces her without even touching her or forcing her. Everything she does is of her own free will but he is having her come for more. An erotic short story that makes you wonder what would happen next.

Now that I know that this is a prequel, I'm interested in reading Abduction to see what happens with Conrad, since he seems hot but kinda perverted :P and I want to know what he is really up to!

Colters' Wife by Maya Banks

Colters' Wife by Maya Banks

Year Published: 2010

My Rating: 4 stars

32 pages

This is a short story from the Colter Legacy series.
It should come after Colters' Woman.

I got this ebook for free from Amazon and since it was not the first book in the series and I can't read something while knowing that piece of fact, so I bought the first book in the series which is Colters' Woman.

In this book Holly is already married to the 3 colter brothers, Adam, Ethan and Ryan, and she is already pregnant with their first child.
The brothers are avoiding her intimately since they are worried about her getting hurt, but she is not to be defeated! So she goes on and tries to seduce her husbands one by one :)

This was a fun short story, takes off after the events of the first book. I have the same problem about the writing phrases being cheezy as the first book, that is why it didn't get the 5 stars although if for the story alone I would give it the 5 easily.

The book is on the erotic side with menage so if you are not into that I don't recommend it. Otherwise it was great!
Quotes I enjoyed from this book:

His green eyes flashed. "Just because you've got those two knuckleheads wrapped around your little finger doesn't mean you're going to get anywhere with me."
She arched an eyebrow. "Are you saying I don't have you wrapped around my finger?"
He scowled at her. "You know damn well I'd give you the moon if you asked."
"Then make love to me," she said softly. "I don't want the moon. I want you."

Judith hated her job. Her boss had piled up workload after workload on her desk.
She decides to finish her day and have her resignation on his desk by the end of the day.
Dustin Havens tried to prolong the time till she hands him her resignation by piling more work, then tries to seduce her to convince her to stay.
Although a short story, it was nice. I enjoyed the finish specially :)

Quotes I enjoyed from this book:

Won't you stop denying our attraction? Make a fist about it all you want, but today the only escape you'll find will be in my arms.

Callie's Meadow by Maya Banks

Callie's Meadow by Maya Banks

Year Published: 2010

My Rating: 3 stars

99 pages

This is a short story from the Colter Legacy series which is only available in the reissue of Colters’ Woman
It should come after Colter's Wife.

Holly has settled in with her 3 husbands, Adam, Ethan and Ryan.. It's been 8 or 9 years since they met and now they have 3 boys driving them crazy.
Living their life in harmony and peace, then Holly gets pregnant and the guys go crazy, since she almost died the last time she had a baby and they didn't want the risk of losing her.

I liked it but it doesn't have the same depth of the first book.

Quotes I enjoyed from this book:

Some secrets weren't meant to be shared right away. Some were meant to be held close and savored, enjoyed with the giddy knowledge that something wonderful was happening.

"Goddamn it. Goddamn it, Adam. What the fuck were you thinking?" Ethan demanded.

Adam closed his eyes. "I wasn't thinking, okay? I was too busy picking my jaw up off the floor."

Colters' Woman by Maya Banks

Colters' Woman by Maya Banks

Year Published: 2006

My Rating: 4 stars

272 pages

This is the first book in the Colters' Legacy series.

The Colter brothers; Adam, Ethan and Ryan, live in a remote cabin in the mountains. They have been waiting to find the right woman for them.. Yup, woman!!

When one day, Adam finds a woman lying in a ditch unconsious near their cabin, he carries her in and is struck by the feeling that she is the one! The brothers all seem to agree but will she accept being the mate of 3 gorgeous brothers?

At first I was not sure about this book, I'm not really into this group relationship thing. But when I started the book it sounded intriguing from the first page. So I was caught up in the book and really enjoyed it.

What made me give it 4 stars instead of 5, well, the story was great, the characters were perfect but I had some trouble with some of the writing. Some of the phrases were kinda cheezy which made me literally cringe. I don't know if this is the authors style since this was the first book I read for her, but I did go on and read 2 short stories related to this book, "Callie's Meadow" and "Colters' Wife".

I had some trouble with Holly being a virgin and just meeting 3 strange men then giving herself to them totally in less than 2 days. But although the 3 brothers were having their fun together with her, it didn't feel crazy. I didn't realize that until I finished the book then I understood that that was because they were only into her and not into each other. Which made it kinda ok :)

As for recommending this book, if you are into menage and some erotica then this book is for you!
I do plan on reading whatever books turn up in this series.. cuz I really liked the men and want to know what happens next :D

Quotes I enjoyed from this book:
She paused at the doorway enjoying the sight of the three men. Ryan was sprawled on the couch, beer in hand. Ethan sat at the computer, aimlessly clicking the mouse. Adam stood by the fire, his stance one of impatience.
But ryan was subborn, and once he'd made the decision, no one had been able to sway him. He'd left a cocky, arrogant young man and come back a brooding, tortured soul.
They rode around to the back and stopped outside the barn. Ryan slid from his horse then held up his hand to help her down. She landed inches from him, his body heat reaching out and enveloping her. He smelled so damn sexy. Just like a man should. Of wood, leather and a hint of wilderness.
She placed her hand on his hard chest, unable to resist the temptation. His heat seared her palm.
"We're not saints, Holly. We've had our share of women, but we're not faithless jerks. Adam wouldn't screw around with another woman. Not after committing himself to you."
"Baby, I'll always protect you, but that isn't why you're here. Ryan's a dumbass. He talks to hear his head rattle, I swear. If you want an explanation as to why you and not her, well I don't know. I can only tell you what I feel here."
He clenched his other hand into a fist and thumped his chest. "It's you, baby. And maybe in time you'll believe that."
There was no explanation for the change she felt blossoming within her. It surged and swelled until it was all-encompassing. It demanded release. Wanted acceptance. Wanted her to acknowledge it.
For the first time in longer than she could remember, she felt completly at peace with the direction of her life.

Not worth the couple of minutes it took to read!

The Messies Manual: The Complete Guide to Bringing Order & Beauty to Your Home by Sandra Felton

The Messies Manual: The Complete Guide to Bringing Order & Beauty to Your Home by Sandra Felton

Year Published: 2005

My Rating: 5 stars

An amazing book that opened my eyes to a lot of things I didn't seem to see while having it staring at my face. The author practically described my personality in great detail, I was convinced that she was spying on me and somehow wrote the book according to my life.. but how could she know what I was thinking too :)

The author divided people into two categories: Messies and Cleanies. She was a Messie but solved her problem 25 years ago and wrote this book to help fellow Messies to better their lives. I guess now you knoew which category I fit in :)

I can't remember when was the last time I read a self-help book from cover to cover, plus I enjoyed it so much and started to practice some of her methods. It really made an improvement that bought some beauty to my home, and I've just started.

Now I'm planning on getting more of her books and treating myself to the home of my dreams!

I recommend this book to anyone who is a Messie, that is lost and needs some guidance. It's GREAT!!!

Quotes I enjoyed from this book:
"It works if you work it."

Concentrate on the basics. Mount Vernon, the flipper, and the Three S system of organizing, used with persistance, will lift even the most hopeless Messie out of the morass of clutter she has fallen into.

Don't stop until you get where you want to be. Maybe the book will not be enough to keep you going.

Newton's second law of thermodynamics states that anything, left to itself, tends toward disorganization.
Felton's law is, "any house left to keep itself tends to disaster." Murphy's law applied to housekeeping is, "Any mess that can happen, will."

Not everything you face can be changed, but everything you change must first be faced.

Changing the way you think can influence your behavior permanently.
Housework is really the privilege of managing your home.
Cleaning your room is actually treating yourself with dignity.
Organizing is relieving the stress of chaos.
Keeping things picked up is embracing harmony in your life.

You got to have a dream. If you don't have a dream, How you ganna have a dream come true?

The bitterness of living in a mess remains long after the sweetness of resting is forgotten.

Reading. For bookworms, reading is quite a temptation - a wonderful way of escape into another world, which enables us to blot out the responsibilities around us. The piles around us grow dim as we lower our eyes to the book.
Television. The television is one of the few modern electronics that has made a significant difference in our time use. The time it saps from other activities causes us to feel rushed when we get up from the TV.
Computer. Undoubtedly the computer vies with the television for free time in many households. Computer games, the Internet, and email can be addictive. Hours fly by unnoticed and the house is forgotten.

What can be done at any time, is never done at all.

It is not so much how much time you have as how you use it.

We react to the idea of doing a job rather than just doing the part that is a problem.
The reason for this no doubt is because we are "thought people" not "visual people." We would rather plan an activity in an orderly fashion and then do it (or maybe never do it; but at least it is neatly planned) than do a little bit at a time.

Shopping on the Internet is perhaps the easiest of all - so easy we have to make sure we set boundaries on our spending.

Unfortunately, a cleaner is not the answer to the basic problem. One woman said she had a full-time maid but still had a problem. The maid just kept her piles dusted.
Basically, you are the only one who can organize for yourself.

Newton's law of inertia says that any body of matter at rest tends to stay that way unless some force moves it to get it started. Translated into housework, it means it win't be easy to break old patterns.

Doing housework the hard way is for those who have nothing better to do.

If you work and don't spend all day at home, you will have less time and less energy for housekeeping. Nevertheless, your goal can be achieved!

"Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of uncompleted tasks."

We have decided. We have organized. Now we have time to paint a few dreams.

"You alone can do it, but you can't do it alone." This is a favorite slogan for support groups.

For most people an ounce of morning is worth a pound of afternoon.
Also remember:
Early to bed, early to rise,
Makes your house neater than otherwise.
